Elda Favari received her Ph.D. degree in pharmacology and toxicology. Elda Favari is a Professor of pharmacology at the University of Parma, Parma, Italy. She got qualified for Associate Professorship ASN Bando 2012 (DD n.222/2012). Her main research areas are physiology and pharmacology of atherosclerosis and cholesterol metabolism with particular interest in cellular cholesterol efflux processes. Favari has experience in evaluating cholesterol metabolic processes at cellular level. Recently she provided different contributions to the elucidation of the process of reverse cholesterol transport. She is the author of 34 papers in indexed international journals with an h-index of 15 (WOS/SCOPUS), IF total of 142.76, and mean IF of 4.20. She participated in several national and international scientific meetings with also invited oral presentations. She is a Member of the Italian Society of Pharmacology (SIF), Italian Society of Atherosclerosis (SISA), the International Society of Arteriosclerosis (IAS), and European Lipoprotein Club (ELC).
