Shuping Chen received her Ph.D. degree in engineering mechanics from Beijing University of Technology, Beijing, China, in 2012. She is awarded an “innovation honor” for research excellence during her Ph.D. study. She joined the Department of Applied Mathematics at Xiamen University of Technological, as a Lecturer in 2012. Her research interests include the global bifurcations and chaotic dynamics of high-dimensional nonlinear systems, theory and computation of normal form for high-dimensional nonlinear systems, the global perturbation of high-dimensional nonlinear systems, vibration and control of nonlinear systems, and numerical analysis. Dr. Chen has published more than 30 papers in international journals and international conference proceedings and about 7 papers indexed by SCI and EI. Her works are supported by several National Natural Science Foundation of China and Zhejiang Province. She has acted as the Project Principle for the Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Teachers of Zhejiang Province (2009), the Scientific Research of Zhejiang Provincial Education Department (2010), and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (2011).
