Ganhua Lu received his B.E. and M.E. degrees from the Tongji University, Shanghai, China, in 2000 and 2003, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), Milwaukee, WI, USA, in 2007. He worked as a Research Associate with Professor Junhong Chen’s group at UWM from 2008 to 2012. He serves currently as an Assistant Professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Alaska Anchorage. His research interests include nanoparticle synthesis and assembly; carbon nanotubes (CNTs), graphene, and hybrid nanomaterials; nanofabrication; environmental and energy applications of nanomaterials. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed journal papers and is a coinventor of 2 US patents.
