Sven-Erik Gryning (DSc) is a senior scientist in the Wind Energy Department at Risø National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy, Denmark. His research covers boundary-layer meteorology and wind energy on large and small scales. His scientific activity covers atmospheric dispersion in the urban environment, meteorology of the marine atmosphere and over inhomogeneous terrain as well as research on climate and CO2. Recent emphasis has been on the height of the boundary layer, aggregation of CO2 fluxes over inhomogeneous terrain and wind profiles in the entire boundary layer. He has in excess of 300 reports and conference papers from which more than 80 are in reviewed journals. He is a member of scientific committees for many international and national conferences and associations. He received the NATO/CCMS ITM Scientific Committee award for outstanding leadership
