Dorotea Muck-Seler works as a Senior Scientist at the Laboratory for Molecular Neuropsychiatry, Division of Molecular Medicine, R.Boškovic Institute, Zagreb, Croatia. He gained his B.S. degree from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Zagreb (1972), an M.S. degree from the University of Zagreb (1978), and a Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Zagreb, Croatia (1989). From 1992 to 1994, he attained a postdoctoral position and a Visiting Scientist (1997, 1998) at the Montreal Neurological Institute, McGill University, Montreal, QC, Canada. In addition, Muck-Seler was employed at R.Boškovic Institute since1975. Currently, he serves as a Senior Scientist since 2004. He is a Member of various societies including Croatian Pharmacological Society (Treasurer), European Pharmacological Society (EPHAR), International Union of Pharmacological Societies (IUPHAR), Croatian Society for Medical Biochemistry, Croatian Society of Biological Psychiatry and Clinical Pharmacology, World Federation of Societies of Biological Psychiatry, Croatian Society for Neuroscience, Alzheimer Disease Societies Croatia, and Alzheimer’s Disease International. He gained the National Science Award (2004). Moreover, he is a reviewer for articles in international and Croatian journals cited in CC, a Member of the Editorial Board of the CC journal Progress in Neuro-Psychopharmacology & Biological Psychiatry. He published a number of articles in CC journals: 60, cited 689 (WOS).
