John G. Markoulidakis

John G. Markoulidakis was born in Athens, Greece in 1966. He received his Diploma in electrical engineering from National Technical University of Athens in 1990 and his Ph.D. degree in mobile communications from the same university in 1994. Since 1998, he is with Vodafone-Panafon (Greece), where he is currently the Commercial Strategy and Planning Senior Manager. Since 1990, he has been involved in several international research projects of the European Union Framework Program. In Vodafone-Panafon, he introduced and headed an R&D Unit in the period between 2001 and 2009. Markoulidakis has also long experience in reviewing research projects of the European Union Framework Program. In addition, his research interests include broadband access networks, location-based services, mobile communities applications, mobile communications performance evaluation, and mobility and traffic management. He has over 70 publications in scientific conferences and journals while he has submitted more than 5 patent applications. Dr. Markoulidakis is a Member of the Technical Chamber of Greece and FITCE.
