Benny Zee

Benny Zee is an Assistant Dean of Research at the Faculty of Medicine and also a Professor and Director of the Centre for Clinical Trials and Heading, the Division of Biostatistics in the School of Public Health and Primary Care, Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He holds honorary appointments in the Department of Clinical Oncology and the Department of Statistics of CUHK. He is also the Chairman of the Joint CUHK-NTEC Clinical Research Ethics Committee since 2006. Professor Zee obtained his Ph.D. degree in biostatistics from the University of Pittsburgh, Pa, USA in 1987. He then joined the National Cancer Institute of Canada Clinical Trials Group as a Senior Biostatistician and a Faculty Member at the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of Queen’s University, ON, Canada from 1987 till 2001. He remains as Adjunct Professor with Queen’s University after he joined CUHK and is actively promoting international academic activities and collaborations.
