Teresa Muiño-Blanco
Teresa Muiño-Blanco was born in La Coruña, Spain, in 1953. She received the Biological Sciences degree and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Santiago, Spain, in 1975 and 1979, respectively. Since 1979, Muiño-Blanco has been a Teacher of biochemistry at the University of Zaragoza, Spain. Currently, she serves as a Professor of biochemistry and molecular biology at the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Zaragoza, Spain. She is a Codirector of the research group Biology and Physiology of Reproduction, labelled as Group of Excellence by the local government. She is mainly interested in sperm biology: sperm quality and subpopulations, sperm cryopreservation, effect of seminal plasma, capacitation, acrosome reaction, and prediction of fertility. She has been the Director of 22 M.S. theses and 10 Doctoral theses.
