Jie Dai

Jie Dai was born in Chengdu, China, in 1963. He received his B.S. degree in chemistry from Sichuan University, Chengdu, China, his M.S. degree in polymer chemistry from Chengdu Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chengdu, China, and his Ph.D. degree in polymer chemistry from the National University of Singapore, Kent Ridge, Singapore, in 1984, 1989, and 1996, respectively. During 1984–1986 and 1988–1992, Dai was a Research Assistant at Chengdu Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. From 1994 to 1996, he was a materials engineer at Maxtor Peripheral (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. Since 1996, Dai has been with the DSO National Laboratories and is now a principal member of the technical staff there. His research interest is focused on the synthesis and application of polymer-based materials.
