Yvon C. Chagnon has a Ph.D. degree. His professional activities include the genomics of complex traits (aging, Alzheimer’s disease, schizophrenia, and obesity), the pharmacogenomics of the response and side effect of antipsychotics, genome-wide linkage, association, expression, and methylation analyses (GWL, GWA, GWE, GWM), and new generation sequencing (exome, sequence capture). He works as Director of the Genomic Laboratory at Centre de Recherche de l'Institut Universitaire en santé mentale de Quebec (CRIUSMQ) and is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Neurosciences and Psychiatry, Medicine, Laval University. Chagnon's additional areas of interest include individualized medicine and genetic biomarkers in mental health diseases.
