King-Shan Lui obtained her B.Eng., with first-class honors, and the M.Phil. degrees in computer science from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She then received her Ph.D. degree, also in computer science, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Ill, USA, in 2002. She joined the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, The University of Hong Kong, as an Assistant Professor in August 2002, and she serves now as an Associate Professor. Her research interests include computer network protocols design and analysis and quality-of-service issues.
