James Archibald

Dr. Archibald received a BS in mathematics from Brigham Young University in 1981, graduating summa cum laude. In 1983 and 1987, respectively, he received MS and PhD degrees in computer science from the University of Washington. He is currently a professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Brigham Young University (Provo, Utah), and he has been a member of that department's faculty since 1987. His current research interests are in the area of intelligent real-time systems, ranging from autonomous vehicles and on-board vision processing to cooperative algorithms and multi-agent coordination.
