Marios C. Angelides

Marios C. Angelides is Professor of Computing at Brunel University, a Chartered Fellow of the British Computer Society and a Chartered Engineer. He has been researching multimedia for nearly two decades and the application of MPEG standards through evolutionary computing for the last 8 years. In the last 6 years, the EPSRC has funded his research work on MPEG standards and evolutionary computing through several projects. Results from all projects have been published extensively in relevant journals. In 2008, Springer published his edited book on Advances in Semantic Media Adaptation and Personalisation and in 2009 CRC will be publishing volume 2 of the edited book. In 1995, Kluwer published his authored book on Multimedia Information Systems which was a best seller. He has been a member of the Editorial Board of MTAP since its inception. He holds a BSc and a PhD both from the London School of Economics.
