Ikuko Nishikawa

Ikuko Nishikawa received the B.S. degree in 1984, the M.S. degree in 1986, and the D.S. degree in 1993 from Kyoto University, Japan, in physics through the research in nonlinear dynamics and statistical physics. She was an Assistant Professor in artificial intelligence at Kobe University, Japan during the period from 1990 till 1993. She is currently a Professor at the College of Information Science and Engineering, Ritsumeikan University, Japan. She was also a Visiting Professor at University of California, Los Angeles, Ca, USA during 1997 till 1998. Her research interests include computational intelligence, computational neuroscience, bioinformatics, and optimization.
