Zbigniew Rudzki was qualified with medical degree from the Medical Academy in Krakow, Poland, in 1991, defended his D.S. thesis at the Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland, in 1994, and gained his M.S. in pathology from the McGill University, Montreal, QC, Canada, in 1997. He finished his training in diagnostic histopathology passing Polish and European specialist exams in 1999 and 2000, respectively. Until 2005, he worked at the Jagiellonian University as a diagnostic pathologist, researcher, and teacher. In 2005, he moved to the UK, where he currently works as a Consultant Histopathologist at the Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, subspecialising in haematopathology and providing diagnostic service for two NHS trusts. Rudzki is an active Member of European Bone Marrow Working Group and European Association for Haematopathology. His major area of interest is trephine bone marrow biopsy interpretation.
