Norimasa Yoshida, M.D., Ph.D., graduated from Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, in 1980. She has 11 patents. She has published 147 books chapters (58 in English), 110 reviews (12 in English), 245 originals (182 in English). Her research areas are mechanisms of gastrointestinal inflammation, microvascular disturbances in GI tract, and mechanisms of cancer metastasis. In 1980, she worked at the Department of Internal Medicine, Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine. In 1990, she served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Molecular and Cell Physiology, Louisiana State University. In 1992, she served as a Chairperson of Gastroenterology Takeda Hospital (Kyoto). In 1995, she worked as an Assistant Professor, Department of Internal Medicine, Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine. In 2003, she worked as an Associate Professor of molecular gastroenterology and hepatology, Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, Graduate School of Medical Science. In 2008, she served as the Vice President and as the Director of the Department of Gastroenterology, Japanese Red Cross Kyoto Daiichi Hospital, and as a Clinical Professor, Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine.
