Alberto Chisvert obtained his B.S. degree in chemistry from the University of Valencia (Valencia, Spain) in 1999, and his Ph.D. degree at the Department of Analytical Chemistry of this same university in 2003. After a year as a Research Senior in a private researching institute, he became Assistant Professor at the Department of Food Science, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Valencia. In 2006, he moved to the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Nutrition and Bromatology, University of Alicante (Alicante, Spain). Two years later, he came back to the University of Valencia, with a Lecturer post at the Department of Analytical Chemistry. Nowadays, he is Associate Professor in this last department. At present, he has published about 50 scientific papers and 10 chapters in scientific books. Moreover, he has acted as a coeditor with Professor Amparo Salvador in the book entitled Analysis of Cosmetic Products. His main research areas are focused on both liquid and gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry, liquid-phase and solid-phase microextraction, bioanalysis and cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and environmental analysis.
