Wanggen Wan
Wanggen Wan is a Full Professor of Shanghai University and the Deputy Director of ITS Research Center. Dr. Wan has broad research interests ranging from design and implementation of digital signal processing algorithms, source coding for broadcasting, pattern classification and machine learning algorithms, computational intelligence, 3D visualization, embedded system and system on chip, digital entertainment, and multimedia signal processing in general. He has published more than 80 technical papers and edited two books in these areas. He is Chairman of Organization Committee of ACM-APECS 2008, and General Cochair of International Conference of Audio, Language and Image Processing. He is also Standing Trustee of Shanghai Embedded System and Software Union, China, and Reviewer of Doctoral Degree Awarded Unit of National Educational Ministry of China. He was titled with “Excellent Young Teacher of Shanghai City” by Shanghai Educational Committee. He is Principal Investigator of Key Project of Chinese Information and Industry Ministry and 863 Project. He is also a founding member of IEEE CIS Shanghai Chapter. Dr. Wan is a Fellow of IEE (IET).
