Rao R. Ivatury

R. R. Ivatury (M.D. degree) is the Director of Trauma, Critical Care, and Emergency General Surgery and a Professor of surgery at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. He has been awarded the "Certificate for outstanding teacher" in VCU and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society for Faculty. He is actively involved in research and has published more than 175 peer-reviewed publications. He recently edited the WSACS monograph on "Abdominal Compartment Syndrome". Most important, he loves to take care of patients in the operating room and the Intensive Care Unit.
