Jayashree Balaji

Jayashree Balaji has a strong background in biochemistry with good exposure to modern biology. His Ph.D. degree was in the area of NMR spectroscopy as applied to animal cells and tissues, with emphasis on information management in biology. He is currently working with ICRISAT as a Scientist in the Bioinformatics Unit. He is now involved with design and implementaion of data capture instruments for high throughput genotyping, and the development of algorithms and software pipelines for comparative genomics in legumes and cereals.
