Francesco Baudi works an Assistant Professor in the Department of Experimental and Clinical Medicine, at The Magna Græcia University of Catanzaro, Catanzaro, Italy. He also serves as a Head Physician at the Regional Center for Genetic Counseling and Innovative Treatments, Cancer Center Foundation Tommaso Campanella, Catanzaro, Italy. He obtained a degree in medicine and a Ph.D. degree in oncology at the University of Reggio Calabria, and then specialized in clinical pathology at the Sapienza University of Rome. Dr. Baudi’s fields of interest include the mechanisms of inherited cancer susceptibility and molecular analysis of breast ovarian cancer in Calabria, where he identified the first Italian founder mutation of the BRCA1 gene.
