José A. Langa received a degree in mathematics in 1994, and a European Doctorate in mathematics in 1998, from Seville University. He received a prize for best Ph.D. thesis in mathematics 1998, and a prize of the Academia Sevillana de Ciencias for best young researcher 2003. He is a Profesor Titular at the Department of Differential Equations and Numerical Analysis, Seville University. He is a referee for different international journals and for national and international research projects.
