Ugurhan Mugan

Ugurhan Mugan was born in Turkey in 1953. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in physics from Istanbul and Bogazici Universities, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in mathematics from Clarkson University, Potsdam, New York, NY, USA, in 1987. Since 1987, he works at TUBITAK Research Institute for Basic Sciences, Gebze, Turkey, as a Research Associate, at Clarkson University as a Visiting Professor, and at SUNY at Buffalo as a Visiting Scholar. Presently, he serves as a Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Bilkent University at Ankara, Turkey. He is mainly interested in nonlinear ordinary and partial differential equations: Painleve property, Painleve equations, inverse monodromy transform (IMT), and discrete Painleve equations. He is also a Member of the Editorial Board of TWMS (Turkic World Mathematical Society) Journal of Applied and Engineering Mathematics.
