Dr. Kwak-Kim is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Microbiology and Immunology at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, as well as the Assistant Chair, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Chicago Medical School of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Currently, she serves as Director of Rosalind Franklin University Health System’s Reproductive Medicine Center. She also served as the Medical Director of the Clinics at Rosalind Franklin University. She has been a dedicated member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine since 1994. Her interest lies in Reproductive Immunology; particularly, recurrent pregnancy loss, which has been the focus of her research. She has over 70 publications in peer reviewed articles and text books. She has mentored and continues to mentor medical students, residents, and fellows. Dr. Kwak-Kim is an associate editor, American Journal of Reproductive Immunology and an editorial board member of many journals. She has received numerous awards including the prestigious J. Christian Herr Award for outstanding achievement in basic or applied research in reproductive immunology by the American Society for Reproductive Immunology (ASRI). She successfully organized and chaired both the 21st and the 22nd annual meetings of the American Society for Reproductive Immunology. In 2009, she won the distinguished service award from American Society for Reproductive Immunology. Dr. Kwak-Kim has served as the president of the ASRI from 2006-2008. She has been the past president of the American Society for Reproductive Immunology from 2008-2010. She received the Lawrence R. Medoff Award in 2011 from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science for outstanding contribution to Researching, Teaching and Clinical Care.
