Andrea E. Cavanna
Andrea Eugenio Cavanna has obtained M.D. and Ph.D. degrees. He is a Consultant in behavioral neurology at the Department of Neuropsychiatry, Birmingham, Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in neuroscience at the University of Birmingham, and Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Neurology, University College London, United Kingdom. He is currently a Leading Consultant for the Tourette'S Clinic at the Department of Neuropsychiatry, Birmingham. He has published extensively in the field of behavioral neurology and neuropsychiatry, with special focus on the behavioral aspects of Tourette syndrome and epilepsy. His other research areas include the neural correlates of altered conscious states in neuropsychiatric/neurodegenerative conditions. In 2010, he received the American Neuropsychiatric Association Career Development Award.
