I am a native of Philadelphia, PA, USA. I have been employed by Merck and Co., Inc., since 1997, working in diverse areas such as discovery and development of small-molecule kinase inhibitors for oncology indications, high-throughput screening and genomics technologies, external lisencing evaluations, and discovery of siRNA delivery vehicles. My current position is Research Fellow and Biology Project Team Leader, RNA Therapeutics. I received my Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Thomas Jefferson University in 2005, where I studied drug resistance pathways in leukemias using microarray profiling and siRNA. I have also served on the Associate Member Council, the Centennial Grants Review Committee and the Scientist/Survivor Panel for the American Association for Cancer Research.
