Xianting Zeng

Xianting Zeng is a Senior Scientist of the Surface Technology Group of Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech). He received his Ph.D. degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1995 and the M.S. and B.S. degrees from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China in 1982 and 1987, respectively. He Joined SIMTech since 1995 and was invited as a Visiting Professor working in Tohoku University, Japan, in 2004 and a Guest Professor in HUST since 2009. He has been working in the field of thin films and surface coatings as well as functional materials for more than 20 years. His current research interests include development of hybrid nanocomposite coatings for wear and corrosion protection and other functionalities as well as thin film devices using PVD/CVD and sol-gel processes. Dr. Zeng has completed many research and industrial development projects under various funding support. He has published extensively on thin films and surface coating materials and other research topics and served on numerous organizing/advisory committees responsible for international conferences or symposia as well as serving as an invited editor for technical journals and expert panelist for various research programs.
