Frank Uhlig

Frank Uhlig was a student at University of Cologne, Germany and at Caltech, Pasadena, Calif, USA (1967-1971). He received the Ph.D. degree in mathematics in 1972 from Caltech. Uhlig received the Dr. rer. nat habil. degree from the University of W├╝rzburg, Germany, 1977. He is Privatdozent, RWTH Aachen, Germany, 1978 and an Apl. Prof., RWTH Aachen, Germany, 1983. Since 1982, he has been a Professor of mathematics, Auburn University, USA. His areas of research and expertise are linear algebra, matrix theory and matrix computations, numerical analysis, numerical algorithms, mathematics education, linear algebra education, history of mathematics, applied and computational mathematics, and numerical techniques in chemical and biological engineering
