Li-Yin Chien

Li-Yin Chien was born in Taipei, Taiwan. She received her D.S. degree from the School of Public Health of the Johns Hopkins University, Md, USA, in 1998 and B.S. degree from the Nursing Department of the National Taiwan University, Taipei City, Taiwan, in 1990. From 1998 to 2001, Chien was a Postdoctoral Fellow and a Research Associate at the University of British Columbia, Canada. She is now a Professor at the Institute of Clinical of Community Health Nursing, National Yang-Ming University, and she is jointly appointed by the Institute of Public Health, National Yang-Ming University. Her research interest is maternal and child health, health promotion, and complementary and alternative medicine. Chien is a Member of Sigma-Theta Tao International Honor Society of Nursing and Taiwan Nurses Association. She is a Committee Member of the Nursing Research Committee of the Taiwan Nurses Association and is listed in the 2009–2013 International Council of Nursing Bank of Experts. She is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Health Sciences.
