Andreas Keiling received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from Imperial College, London, UK, and the University of Minnesota, Minn, USA, respectively, followed by a one-year teaching position at the University of Wisconsin, USA, and a two-year European Space Agency (ESA) postdoctoral fellowship at the Paul Sabatier University, Toulouse, France. He has been a research physicist with the Space Sciences Laboratory at the University of California-Berkeley since 2004 and has held several visiting positions at other institutions. His current research interests are magnetosphere-ionosphere coupling, magnetotail dynamics, and magnetospheric ULF (ultra-low-frequency) waves.
