C. Laird Birmingham
C. L. Birmingham holds M.D., B.S., M.H.S., F.R.C.P.C., F.A.C.P., A.B.I.M., and F.A.E.D. degrees. He serves as a Professor of psychiatry and as an Associate Member of the Departments of Medicine and Health Care and Epidemiology at the University of British Columbia, where he was previously a Professor of medicine. He worked as a Medical Director of the Paul‘s Eating Disorder Program, British Columbia Provincial Director for Eating Disorders, and Leader of the BC Eating Disorders Epidemiology Project in the Centre for Health Evaluation and Outcome Sciences until 2008. He serves as a Member of the Brain Research Centre at UBC and Senior Associate Clinician Scientist at the Children and Family Research Institute. He has published 125 refereed articles, 20 invited chapters, and 8 books. He serves as the Medical Director of the Woodstone Residence for the Treatment of Eating Disorders, in British Columbia, Canada.
