Peyman Milanfar

Peyman Milanfar received the B.S. degree
in electrical engineering and mathematics
from the University of California, Berkeley,
and the S.M., E.E., and Ph.D. degrees
in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology, Cambridge,
in 1988, 1990, 1992, and 1993, respectively.
Until 1999, he was a Senior Research
Engineer at SRI International, Menlo
Park, Calif. He is currently an Associate Professor
of electrical engineering, University of California, Santa
Cruz. He was a Consulting Assistant Professor of computer science
at Stanford University, Stanford, Calif, from 1998 to 2000, where
he was also a Visiting Associate Professor from June to December
2002. His technical interests are in statistical signal and image processing
and inverse problems. Dr. Milanfar won a National Science
Foundation Career Award in 2000 and he was an Associate Editor
for the IEEE Signal Processing Letters from 1998 to 2001.
