User Biography : Prof Runliang Zhu Dr Runliang Zhu is a research scientist from Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research work is highly multidisciplinary with the primary interests focusing on the microstructure and reactivity of minerals surface/interface, interactions between mineral surfaces and environmental contaminants, development of clay minerals based novel materials, applications of clay minerals in pollution control. Both molecular modeling and instrumental characterization methods are used to explore the microstructure of clay minerals and the interactions happen within their nano-sized interlayer spaces. He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed research papers on international journals which have been often cited by colleagues.
