Mustafa Badaroglu is an R&D Team Leader and Program Manager of INSITE at IMEC, Leuven, Belgium. INSITE program targets at assessing the potential of scaled/emerging devices and integration/assembly technologies for giving early insight to technologists and designers by linking system design to technology. His research interests are technology-aware circuit design in advanced and emerging devices, mixed-mode system-on-chip and system-in-package design, design automation, signal integrity, and design for test. Prior to joining IMEC, Badaroglu was a Design Project Leader with ON Semiconductor, Belgium at the Automotive and Power Division, leading numerous integrated circuit development activities from concept to full volume production for high-voltage and high-temperature automotive and industrial applications. Prior to ON Semiconductor, he was also with IMEC, Belgium, working on signal integrity, ultra low-power and low-noise circuit design, and IC design of WLAN and UWB transceivers. Dr. Badaroglu received the B.S. degree from Bilkent University, the M.S. degree from the Middle East Technical University, the Ph.D. degree from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven), all in electrical engineering, and the M.S. degree in industrial management from KU Leuven. Dr. Badaroglu was the recipient of the 2004 European Design and Automation Association (EDAA) Doctoral Dissertation Award and of Best Paper Award at the Design, Automation, and Test Conference (DATE).
