Jiuping Xu

Jiuping Xu got a Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics from Tsinghua University, China, and Ph.D. degree in physical chemistry from Sichuan University, China. Xu acts as a Distinguished Professor of the Chang Jiang Scholars Program of the Ministry of Education of China and the Dean of the Business School of Sichuan University. Xu was appointed a lifetime academician of the International Academy of Systems and Cybernetic Sciences in 2010. He serves as the President of the International Society for Management Science and Engineering Management and the Vice-President of the Systems Engineering Society of China, Vice-President of the Chinese Society of Optimization and Overall Planning and Economical Mathematics, and the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Management Science and Engineering Management. He has published more than 50 official books and 400 journal papers. Xu is interested in decision under uncertainty, systems sciences and engineering, management science, civil engineering management, system comprehensive integration theory, technology, and application for circular economy, systems engineering of postdisaster reconstruction, force analysis and optimized design of well completion test of tubular strings, and low carbon technology and management.
