Carlos Simon obtained his M.D. degree with Award of Excellence from Valencia University in 1985 and is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology since 1991. Dr. Simon completed his Ph.D. degree in Valencia University and received a postdoctoral grant for a fellowship on reproductive endocrinology at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University, Calif (USA), from 1991 to 1994. After his return to Spain, he obtained economical support for his investigation by 13 projects granted by the Spanish Government, 4 by Valencian Government, 1 by Basque Government, and 14 projects supported by International Organization and American Universities. At present he is Professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Valencia (UV), Director of Fundación IVI (FIVI), Scientific Director at Prince Felipe Research Center (CIPF), and Director of the Valencia Node of the Spanish Stem Cells Bank at CIPF. The scientific impact of his work has lead to the publication of 264 peer-reviewed papers in international journals with a total impact factor of 1032,224 that has received 6.412 citations with a mean of 24,29 citation/paper. His H-Index is 43. Dr. Simon is Inventor of 7 international and 4 national patent applications.
