Alexandre R. Zlotta

Alexandre R. Zlotta has been a Professor at the Department of Surgery (urology) at the University of Toronto, the Director of Uro-Oncology at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, Staff at Princess Margaret-Toronto General Hospitals/University Health Network, and the Director of Education, Uro-Oncology Fellowship Program, University of Toronto, since 2006. Dr. Zlotta received his Medical degree, urology training, and a Ph.D. degree at the University of Brussels, Brussels, Belgium. He was awarded, among other awards, the EAU Matula Award in 2000. Dr. Zlotta is an uro-oncologic surgeon, currently performing research on prostate and bladder cancer. He is the PI or Co-PI of several large-scale international research projects. He has been a Board Member of the Scientific Committee of the European Association of Urology, the European Society of Oncological Urology, the Scientific Committee of the Belgian Association of Urology, the Belgian National College of Oncology, and a Member of the National Cancer Institute of Canada-Prevention Initiative. Moreover, he is currently a Steering Committee Member of the North American Bladder Cancer Think Tank, BCAN. Dr. Zlotta also serves as a Faculty at the European School of Urology.
