Sami Shousha gained his medical degree in 1964 from the Cairo University. He holds a doctoral degree in pathology from the Cairo University, Egypt and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists, London, UK. He was trained in histopathology at The Royal Free Hospital and School of Medicine, London. Currently, he is a Professor of pathology at the Imperial College London and a Consultant Histopathologist at the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust where he manages the Breast Histopathology Service, based at the Charing Cross Hospital, London. Professor Shousha also acts as the Breast Histopathologist for the UK Cancer Research Laboratories at Hammersmith and Charing Cross Hospitals. He is the current organizer of the annual week-long course of “Hammersmith Diagnostic Histopathology of Breast Disease” that is held at the Charing Cross Hospital. He has published over 260 papers, review articles, and chapters in books concerned mainly with diagnostic breast pathology and correlation between morphology of breast disease and associated molecular changes.
