Karen Mansfield is a Scientist with the Wildlife Zoonoses and Vector-Borne Diseases Research Group at the Animal Health and Veterinary Laboratories Agency, United Kingdom. She Obtained a B.S. degree in Animal Science in 1995, and she is currently near to completing her Ph.D. degree on tick-borne flaviviruses. Having worked on lyssaviruses for a number of years, her current research activities cover many aspects within the field of arbovirus research. This work is predominantly based upon studies with TBEV, LIV, and WNV, with a particular emphasis on the host immune response.
