Kaushal Shah received his M.D. degree from Dartmouth Medical School in 2000 followed by training in Emergency Medicine at the Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency Program at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, Mass, USA. He has been active in research and resident education with a present position as an Associate Residency Director at Mt. Sinai Medical Center. He also holds an academic title of Associate Professor at Mt. Sinai Medical School. His research interests include trauma and procedures. He is the Editor of the Essential Emergency series of books published by Lippincott, Williams & Wilkins. Essential Emergency Procedures and Essential Emergency Trauma will be followed by 2 more books this year on imaging and analgesia & sedation.
