Patrick Lucey

Patrick Lucey graduated from the University of Southern Queensland with a B.S. degree in electrical engineering with first class honors. He then commenced his Ph.D. degree at the Queensland University of Technology within the Speech, Audio, Image, Video and Technology Laboratory, in 2004, in audio-visual speech recognition. During his Ph.D., Patrick studied for 3 months at the Advanced Multimedia Laboratory at Carnegie Mellon University in 2005. In 2006, he completed an internship at the Human Languages Technology Department at IBM's T. J. Watson Research Center in New York under Dr. Gerasimos Potamianos. Patrick has since submitted his Ph.D. thesis on “Lipreading across multiple views” in September 2007.
