Tomasz Ruman was born in 1980. Ruman works as a Principal Investigator at the Department of Chemistry, Rzeszów University of Technology, Rzeszów, Poland. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in 2003 and 2004, respectively, from the Department of Chemistry, Rzeszów University of Technology. He completed his professorship process (habilitation or M.S. degree) in 2011 being one of the youngest professors in Poland. He is author of 34 scientific papers. Currently, he is Head of Bioorganic Chemistry Laboratory in Rzeszów University of Technology. His research interests are boron compounds in bioorganic chemistry; NMR spectroscopy including boron-11 NMR, NMR of phosphorylated, thiophosphorylated, and nitrated biological molecules, NMR of paramagnetic compounds; posttranslational modifications of proteins (including enzymes); boron inhibitors of thymidylate synthase and HIV polymerase; mass spectrometry including MALDI investigation of low-molecular-weight molecules.
