Ismat Beg

Ismat Beg, who is presently with University of Central Punjab, Lahore has a distinguished scholastic career. He is also Honorary Full Professor, Institute for Basic Research, Florida, (USA). Dr. Ismat Beg is an internationally acknowledged scholar, researcher and teacher in the field of mathematical sciences. Dr. Beg is a Fellow of Pakistan Academy of Sciences. His research work has a great diversity and is well cited by other researchers. He has made fundamental contributions to the study of fixed point theory and best approximations. He has also made significant contributions to study of fuzzy relations/multi-valued functions. Beg is also well known for his work on linear operators on ordered vector spaces. He is an elected fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, a Chartered Mathematician and a Chartered Scientist. He is a reviewer of Zentralblatt Fur Mathematik and Math Review. Dr. Beg is a member of European Mathematical Society, American Mathematical Society, London Mathematical Society, International Federation of Nonlinear Analysts, International Rough Set Society, Society for Mathematics of Uncertainty, All Pakistan Mathematical Association and Punjab Mathematical Society.
