Zhi-Yong Liu is an Associate Professor at the State Key Laboratory of Management and Control for Complex Systems, Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. He received his B.Eng. degree from Tianjin University, China, in 1997, M.E. degree from the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, in 2000, and Ph.D. degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2003. His research interests include machine learning, pattern recognition, bioinformatics, and graph algorithms, especially graph matching and its applications. In these fields, he published as the first author over 20 original papers and also coauthored a dozen papers. He serves as the PC Member of several international conferences, including IJCNN and ICMLC.
