Zhili Dong
Zhili Dong received B.E. and Ph.D. degrees from Tsinghua University of Beijing, China, in 1984 and 1989, respectively. From July 1989 to May 1993, Dong served as a Lecturer at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. From June 1993 to October 1996, Dong served as a Visiting Professor / Visiting Researcher at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Metallurgy, Faculty of Chemistry, University of Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain. From November 1996 to July 1999, Dong served as a Research Fellow at the School of Mechanical and Production Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. From July 1999 to June 2004, Dong served as Research Scientist / Senior Research Scientist at the Institute of Environmental Science and Engineering (formerly known as: Environmental Technology Institute, A*STAR), Singapore. From July 2004 till present, Dong served as an Associate Professor / Assistant Professor / Teaching Fellow at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Dong is a Member of Microscopy Society of America, since 1999 and a Member of Materials Research Society of Singapore, since 2001. Dong's research interests include structure-property relationships, nanostructured functional materials, crystal structure determination using X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy, and Interface crystal structure analysis.
