Anwar Barakat Bataineh

Anwar Barakat Bataineh was born in June 1949. He is a Certified Specialist in Oral Surgery (C.S.O.S.), Faculty of Stomatology, Sarajevo University, Yugoslavia, 1988. He has a Master of Dental Science (M.D.S.), Faculty of Dentistry, Leeds University, UK, 1992; a Master of Science in Dentistry (M.S.D.), Faculty of Stomatology, Sarajevo University, Yugoslavia, 1988; a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.), Faculty of Stomatology, Sarajevo University, Yugoslavia, 1976. He worked as a Professor in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Faculty of Dentistry, Jordan University of Science & Technology (2004) after being an Associate Professor at the same university between 1999 and 2004. Bataineh was the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Jordan University of Science & Technology, Irbid, from 2006 to 2010 and the Director of Dental Teaching Center, Jordan University of Science & Technology, Irbid. His research interests are mainly focused on clinical researches of oral and maxillofacial surgery; maxillofacial trauma; local anesthesia; impacted third molars; odontogenic cysts; odontogenic tumors. Moreover, he is a Member of University Council: Jordan University of Science & Technology 1993–1995, Teaching Economics Committee, Jordan University of Science & Technology, 1994, and Faculty Council, Faculty of Dentistry, Jordan University of Science & Technology 1992–1997. Bataineh received an Award of Distinguished Researcher for 2004, Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Jordan.
