Amlan K. Roy

Amlan K. Roy completed his Ph.D. degree in 1998 at Punjab University, Chandigarh, in theoretical chemistry. Thereafter, he worked in several institutions like University of New Brunswick at Fredericton, NB, Canada, University of Kansas, at Lawrence, Kan, USA, University of California, Los Angeles, Calif, USA, and University of Florida, Gainesville, Fla, USA, as a Postdoctoral Fellow, Visiting Scholar, and Research Professor. Some of his current research areas include electronic structure, property, and dynamics of many-electron systems within the broad domain of density functional theory (DFT). He serves currently as an Assistant Professor in chemistry at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research-Kolkata. He has published nearly 45 peer-reviewed articles in international journal and recently edited a book on DFT.
