Sae C. Jeoung, a holder of the Ph.D. degree, has been Principal Research Scientist at Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS), Daejeon, Republic of Korea, since 1993 with main research area to study on the interactions between ultrafast laser pulse and materials. His current interest includes selective micropatterning of functional thin-film-like transparent conductive materials and thin-film PV materials as well as microsurgery of neovascular structures on cornea and retina. He also spent time establishing to assess the characteristics in biomedical laser system for safety evaluation. Jeoung received a B.S. degree from the Department of Chemistry from Seoul National University, Seoul, Republic of Korea, and a Ph.D. degree in physical chemistry from Seoul National University, Seoul, Republic of Korea. During that time, his main research field is to study elementary reaction kinetics on the gas-phase reactions related on the ozone depletion in stratosphere.
