Takashi Takahashi

Takashi Takahashi is interested in general internal medicine, infectious diseases, infection control sciences, respiratory medicine, and clinical microbiology. From 1980 to 1986, he received an M.D. degree from Gunma University School of Medicine. He has been a resident at Department of Pediatrics, Gunma University School of Medicine, Gunma, Japan from 1986 till 1990 and a resident at Department of Thoracic Medicine, Tochigi Cancer Center, Tochigi, Japan from 1990 to 1993. He was a Fellow in pulmonary medicine, Gunma University School of Medicine, Gunma, Japan from 1993 to 1997. He served as a Lecturer at the Department of General Medicine, Kanazawa Medical University, since 2003 till 2006 and an Associate Professor at the Department of General Medicine, Kanazawa Medical University from 2006 till 2008. Since 2009, he serves as a Professor at the Laboratory of Infectious Diseases, Graduate School of Infection Control Sciences/Kitasato Institute for Life Sciences, Kitasato University. He is affiliated to the Japanese Association for Infectious Diseases as a Councilor since 2005 and to the Japanese Society of Environmental Infections as a Councilor since 2008. Additionally, he serves as a Trustee at the Japanese Society for Clinical Microbiology since 2010, a Fellow at the American College of Physicians since 2008, and a Fellow at the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine since 2005.
