Andreas K. Dacho
Andreas Dacho is a board certified plastic surgeon and board certified otorhinolaryngologist. He received his Medical degree at Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg, Germany. He was Secretary of the oncologic workshop of the Tumor Center at the University of Heidelberg and Research Fellow at the Albert B. Chandler Hospital, Department of Medicine, University of Kentucky, Lexington, USA. He completed his ENT training at the Departments of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, University Hospital Heidelberg and the University of Leipzig, Germany. He was trained as a plastic surgeon at the BG Trauma Center Ludwigshafen, Department of Hand-, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Burn Center, University of Heidelberg and the Department of Plastic Surgery at the St. Josef Medical Center Essen, Germany. His scientific focus is on ischemic preconditioning and the I/R injury, on rhinoplasty and on facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Dacho is Member of a variety of national and international societies (e.g., DGPRÄC, DGHNOKHC, RhiSoEU, EAFPS, ESPRAS, ISAPS, and IPRAS), Editorial Board Member of ENT Forum and Anaplastology, Founding Member of the “Rhinoplasty Society of Europe” and is currently Chief of German Nose Center, Department of Plastic Surgery, St. Josef Medical Center, Essen, Germany. He has authored or coauthored over fifty peer-reviewed papers, presentations or book chapters and lectures at the University of Leipzig, Germany.
